Porch Plans Were Approved!

I still need to pick up the permit, but man...I'm excited. I spent weeks and weeks and weeks working on the drawing set, turned in 40 pages of drawings and notes, and waited...and waited...and waited.

Today, I got the call. Permit is ready to pick up. 

Now I need to line up a dumpster, order some scaffolding, and then make some lumber show up. I'm still not entirely sure how I'm going to deconstruct some of it, like the roof, or how I'm going to rebuild it, like dealing with the posts and jointery required to match the original structure; I'll cross those bridges when I get to 'em. 

But I'm excited. Real, real excited.
