FLOOR GRILLE END TABLES

MATERIALS: POPLAR, OLD GROWTH PINE & CAST IRON

During a trip my local architectural salvage guy's warehouse I dug through his vast collection of old floor grilles, most of which were super ornate and in super rough shape, and bought a couple.  The idea was to build a couple simple end tables and inset the grilles into the top, mimicking how they might have looked when originally used in floors.  Poplar was used for the table legs and aprons, and the tops was built from lumber that came from an old pine door I pulled out of a dumpster at a nearby house rehab,
