We have a client that has a nook in her kitchen that has been begging for a small table, but nothing she found ever seemed like it would fit the space quite right AND come anywhere close to matching her existing kitchen furniture. Sounds like a problem, right? A small custom table was the obvious solution.
This little thing is made of pine and poplar, uses mortise and tenon joinery and was given a small bead detail along the apron. The black paint was applied with a sprayer, and several coats of polyurethane were applied by hand. With some strategic sanding along the way - the table needed a little distressing to match the existing kitchen furniture - the finished product turned out pretty well.
