We seem to get more calls to remodel bathrooms than anything else, so we've become pretty well-versed at all things bathroom over the years. The client on this particular project wanted us to redo everything down to the drywall, which covered demo of the existing tile surround and floor, and installation of a new tub, toilet, vanity, tile tub surround and tile floor. Large rectangular subway-style tile was chosen for the surround, while hexagonal floor tile was used to give the space a vintage look, and wainscoting was added to dress everything up.
Much like with house rehabs, I don't think I'll ever get tired of deck-duilding. Likewise, I don't take very thorough pics of the decks we build because I'm having too much fun building them. This particular deck covers about 400 sq. ft., was built with cedar, and has metal balusters. While a completely enjoyable project, it was not without challenges, including a number of uncommon framing situations, and a concrete patio being poured underneath the deck during deck construction.
